Media Comp Policy
Canyons extends complimentary skiing/snowboarding privileges to reporters and photographers on assignment, and to journalists who utilize Canyons press kits, press releases and/or ski reports for publication or media exposure. Eligible media personnel may obtain a complimentary lift pass as often as desired during the 2012-2013-ski season.
To arrange for complimentary skiing/snowboarding privileges at Canyons please contact Caitlin Martz, Communications Coordinator: 435.615.4843 firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note, your call or email must be at least 48 hours prior to your arrival. You may pick up your lift pass at any ticket office under your name. Please plan on presenting valid media identification.
Thanks in advance for helping us implement our complimentary lift pass policy by following these simple guidelines. The policy is as follows:
- Complimentary lift passes will be issued to writers on assignment, on-air radio and TV announcers on assignment, editors directly responsible for publishing Canyons press releases or ski reports, and photographers and engineers on assignment. Sorry, children, spouses and other guests are not included. Complimentary lift passes are available to owners and managers of media organizations. - Complimentary lift passes cannot be issued to other media personnel such as advertising or sales representatives, photographers and engineers not on assignment, as well as all other support staff
- Complimentary lift passes cannot be issued to freelance photographers or writers, unless they are on direct assignment from a specific publication. A 48-hour advance notice, in writing, is required from the publication to verify the assignment.
Members of the media who are asking for media rates on lodging must contact the PR staff at Canyons at least two weeks before planned arrival. Please note that during holiday periods and times of high occupancy in the lodging properties, Canyons may not be able to offer media rates.
Members of the media who are requesting additional services such as ski school, guided mountain tours, or First Tracks must contact the PR staff at Canyons at least one week before planned arrival to arrange for logistics of these activities. Please note that during holiday periods these services may not be available for media guests.
