Info on Dangermuffin:
Dangermuffin is a power trio, providing a much needed fresh perspective on american roots music. This is not your uncle’s back porch blues band, folks... these guys slice and dice their chops in a way that always keeps the dancefloor dangerous. What sets Dangermuffin ahead is the refreshingly magnetic songwriting of Dan Lotti, coupled with strong, articulate vocals that frame each song. The guy can flatout sing.
This “americana music” has found itself a new level of groove, anchored by the creative beats of Steven Sandifer (Drew Emmitt Band, The Biscuit Boys) and embellished by the fluid guitar work of Mike Sivilli. The product is a punchy, folk-jam pastry for the sweet-toothed soul of the South.
During the fall of 2007 Dangermuffin released their first album “Beermuda” with a warm welcome from fans, radio stations, and television shows alike. Chock full of feel-good, snappy tunes, it leaves you with a lingering finish that begs repeating. The album garnered enough attention to facilitate a regional presence in festivals, clubs, and ipods up and down the east coast, culminated by a Fall 2008 tour of Colorado which featured a slot at the revered Jazz Aspen festival opening for Widespread Panic and Xavier Rudd.
