Skiing as a family is always a blast and there’s never been a better time to introduce your child to the slopes. This season, Nickelodeon has teamed up with the resorts of the American Skiing Company and Rossignol to make skiing and snowboarding extra exciting for kids with exclusive Dora the Explorer™ skis, SpongeBob SquarePants™ skis and SpongeBob SquarePants™ snowboards. Designed to make skiing and snowboarding more engaging for kids who are just starting out, they are only available in American Skiing Company resorts’ rental and retail shops.

The Canyons Resort will be hosting the next Nickelodeon Family Winter Fest on  March 19-23, 2007. These will include a full line-up of family events, music and activities including appearances by SpongeBob, Dora the Explorer and the Dirty Sock Funtime Band. (1)

The Dirty Sock Funtime Band will be playing at The Canyons Grand Summit Hotel for FREE on March 19, 2007 at 4pm and 7pm.  The concert is free of charge but you must have a ticket to enter.  Tickets are available at Canyon Mountain Sports and the front desk of the Grand Summit starting Tuesday, March 6th.  Click here for a full schedule.

During the Nickelodeon Family Winter Fest, kids 14 and under, staying at The Canyons Grand Summit Hotel, Sundial Lodge and Silverado Lodge will ski / ride for free and be eligible for a 50% discount on group ski / snowboard school lessons and kids equipment rental.  Guests staying at one of these resort properties will also receive a voucher for a free kid’s breakfast during each day of their stay. (2) The kids ski / ride free offer,  kids ski / snowboard group lesson and kids equipment rental discount is limited to guests staying at The Canyons Grand Summit Hotel, Sundial Lodge and Silverado Lodge.  The kid’s ski / ride free offer is only available to our lodging guests who have purchased an adult lift ticket and is limited to one child per parent per day. The free kid’s breakfast is limited to one child per day per parent and a paying adult must accompany the child.  Lift ticket and breakfast voucher have no cash value and are non-refundable or transferable.  Other restrictions may apply.
