The Canyons pays employees weekly each Thursday. Pay periods are Monday through Sunday. You will receive your first paycheck generally on the second work week. Please make arrangements to have your paycheck cashed or deposited using a local bank. Human resources will have some information on local banks in the area. Some local grocery stores in town can cash your check for a small fee.
Keep in mind that you should bring enough money for food and basic living expenses for the first two to four weeks of your stay. We recommend that you bring $300 - $500 in addition to your housing deposit and first week’s rent.
Taxes:
International staff are NOT exempt from Federal and State Government Taxes. You must claim "single" on your W-4 when filling out your hire paperwork. Expect to have between 10 to 20% withheld from each paycheck for these taxes.
