The weather in Park City can range from –17° C to 15° C (0° F to 55° F ) in the winter. On average our winters are relatively mild, however December through February can be cold if you are not used to the temperatures. Therefore you will need to bring plenty of warm clothing. Layering tends to give you the best warmth and ability to adapt to the changing temperatures.

Uniforms:
If you are working for a department that is out on the ski hill, you will be loaned a uniform consisting of a jacket and ski pants. Because of the thin nature of the uniforms, you should be prepared to be layered under the uniform. A desposit will be required.

Mail:
You will be expected to make your own arrangements at the local post office for your mail services. There are two post office buildings in town. 450 Main Street and 6440 N. Hwy. 224. The general number to reach either one is: 800-275-8777.
Internet:
There is now a FREE employee internet room in the Smokies building. Employees will have full access to The Canyons Intranet site as well as web email sites and limited access to the World Wide Web. There are also two librarys in Park City which offer FREE internet service: one in Kimball Junction (6505 North Landmark Dr.), and the other near downtown (1255 Park Ave.). Call for hours of operation. 435-615-5600. Other internet cafes are around town offer use the internet for a minimal fee.
Shopping / Amenities:
Park City is large enough to be able to do all your grocery and clothing shopping for the season. There are many other out-door sports stores in town and here at The Canyons. You can get discounts (once you are working) at the resort.
